It is slim picking out there.

I had been searching for Civil Engineers for my firm for months. I finally found a couple last month, one EIT who replied to an ad I placed at the local university, and a PE who I found at ASCE Career Connections. I had almost hired a professional recruiter after I received only 6 or 7 resumes in 3 months.

It might be best if you contacted the universities in that area that have civil engineering programs and set up a relationship with their student career resources department and the civil engineering department and student organizations. That is a good place to start and network out from there. Any reason you are just looking for people from Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Minnesota and not anywhere else?

Oh, right, you pay $100 to find out her secret on how to do dropshipping. And since she offers "personal support" you get to pay even more for "coaching."

Dropshipping is a very difficult way to make money. You list on eBay and you pay listing fees even if the item doesn’t sell. You and 1000s of other people are trying to sell the same thing, so even if it sells, it’s not for the amount they said you could sell it for. Then, oops, you get a hot item, it’s out of stock and your buyers neg you. A neg ruins your eBay reputation. (By the way, if you dropship, you *have* to say so in the auction tex.)

Oh and did you read the fine print on the page? "Emily Thomas" doesn’t even exist!

I know there are sites out there that answer these types of questions – http://www.business-letter-templates.com, etc. but I think the best way would be to formulate a website. I’d start using http://www.linkedin.com, if you are not already a member, and create a network/contact base and then link it to your new advice site. You would create your contacts and then get linked with professional contacts that will filter to your sight with each question you ask. In addition, the more questions you answer at this site you might be tagged as an expert by LinkedIn which would be another bonus. FYI – I also like this site for convenience – http://www.allmyfaves.com. GOOD LUCK!

Why don’t you try contacting the coach of a university that you are interested in. You might can tell him/her that you are interested in their program, explain that you are a junior, and find out what you need to be do to be a part their v-ball program. Maybe then …you can ask whether it is worthwhile to put together a recruitment video.

Fine out how they do their recruiting and then focus your energy on that.

It sounds like a good idea, there are many who need help in this area. You have not defined well what you will do though, so it’s impossible to answer specifically about fees what is not lined out specifically.

This could be anything from text based training, to coaching with live experts in the areas, or both and services in between.

I do like it. It fills a very real and recognized need many have. There are components of this that are part of a concept I have actually mulled around creating a business around, but of course that means I won’t give you specifics on that particular concept angle.

I think the ticket here is to find a business that is just entering the momentum phase. There are many out there that experienced momentum a very long time ago, so all the big incomes have already been earned.
You also want to find a product that will keep you a step ahead of the baby boomers as they are always your largest market by far.
I found a company in health and anti-aging that is fulfilling all of the above. Just approaching momentum, solid debt free company with 2 owners who are very integral. Bookwork is all done for us and we have the most bonuses in the industry. I have finally found a company that I can call "Home".

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you’re interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

It really depends on who you are. Are you outgoing and want to start a home business with parties in other people’s homes or not?
Sounds like you are a natural and have the experience needed to do about anything you want.
My advice is to look around and pick something you are passionate about and then RUN with it.

Recruiting is hard because your prospects are your friends, family and co-workers. If you’re lucky a couple might be interested but most probably do not have the entrepreneurial streak that you do.

Quit thinking that your products are the only thing your selling. You have to sell your opportunity too.

And the first rule of sales is: KNOW YOUR TARGET MARKET!!!

Building a large down line isn’t easy, but it isn’t impossible either otherwise the mlm business would be obsolete. You just need to change your thinking.

I recommend furthering your education on sales and marketing from some where other than Nikken. There is a lot of good information out there.
